Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) is seeking a senior leader in New York, onsite, to drive fragrance innovation and lead high-performing teams. This role focuses on translating consumer insights into differentiated fragrance solutions, building market knowledge, and partnering across sales, marketing, innovation, and operations to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Fragrance Science, Consumer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in fragrance, consumer products, ingredients, innovation, R&D, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights and market trends into technical solutions and business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of unmet consumer and customer needs and translate insights into differentiated fragrance solutions.
• Build expertise in market trends, consumer needs, and future innovation opportunities.
• Establish partnerships with perfumers, sales, marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive agile adaptation and deployment of fragrance technologies to address challenges.
• Champion knowledge sharing, data management, and safety procedures.
• Support launch of new technologies with creative, commercial, and innovation teams.
• Provide strategic feedback on innovation performance and business impact.
• Lead complex projects with priorities, resources, timelines, and risks.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Fragrance Science, Consumer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in fragrance, consumer products, ingredients, innovation, R&D, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights and market trends into technical solutions and business opportunities.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Proven success building relationships and influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing technical professionals.
• Strong understanding of innovation processes, technology deployment, and commercialization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
