Cochise College is seeking a Student – Facilities/Mailroom Department Aide to help with vehicle upkeep and the mailroom, and to assist the Facilities front office.
The role involves receiving packages, sorting mail, and supporting various tasks across campus; background screening and ongoing enrollment requirements apply for student employees.
The Student – Facilities/Mailroom Department Aide will assist in cleaning and maintaining the college fleet vehicles to promote safety and proper operations, and assist with the warehouse and mailroom operations.

Enrollment at Cochise College with a minimum of 6 credits per semester and 3 credits in the summer
Possess and maintain a 2.0 G.P.Aor higher
Students attending Cochise College on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits per semester and six credits in the summer
Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
Knowledge of the proper operation of and the ability to use personal computers and standard office equipment
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
Ability to multi-task and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail
Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems and to maintain strict confidentiality related to sensitive information
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Skill operating materials and handling equipment to include mailroom and warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack and forklift
Work is primarily performed under general supervision and will require working in a variety of climatic conditions. May include exposure to mechanical and chemical hazards. May require early morning work.
Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem solving skills are important
