Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for SSVF applicants. The role involves responding to inquiries, maintaining applicant files, and managing the intake process. The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree or relevant experience with at-risk populations, including veterans.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position operates Monday-Friday with occasional after-hours duties as necessary.

Under direct supervision of the Team Lead, the Intake Specialist serves as an initial point of contact for applicants for SSVF services. Responds to inquiries from applicants regarding program eligibility requirements and other issues as needed.
This position requires a regular Monday-Friday weekday schedule. It is a nonexempt, salaried position and may require after-hours duties based upon the needs of the veterans that we serve.
