Job summary

Summit Therapeutics Inc. is seeking an experienced SSU Manager to oversee feasibility, site start-up and budget negotiations for global Phase 2/3 trials. This role builds relationships with CROs, sites and internal stakeholders to drive site activation and ensure compliant study start-up delivery.

The ideal candidate has extensive SSU and feasibility experience, strong contract negotiation skills, and can lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–7 years for manager; 10+ years for Sr. Manager in feasibility, SSU, site agreements.
• Knowledge of clinical trial conduct, including multi-center, global trials.
• Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, admin and computer skills.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SSU operations to meet goals in line with GCP/ICH.
• Negotiate and finalize site agreements and budgets.
• Provide up-to-date project status and financial information in tracking systems.
• Present the budget to senior leaders for approval with full detail.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance and Clinical teams on site agreements.
• Develop SSU strategy and manage activation timelines.
