About the Role

SportsEngine is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Contract) to join its growing Operations team, which currently consists of approximately 5–10 engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the infrastructure that powers multiple large-scale products. This role will work closely with primarily US-based engineering teams while helping expand SportsEngine’s global operations capabilities. The ideal candidate is practical, reliable, and comfortable operating across several distributed systems, with strong experience in AWS infrastructure and Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones are essential.

What You’ll Do

• Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and improve cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS

What We’re Looking For

• Required Experience
  • 4+ years of DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience
  • Strong experience with AWSci cloud infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
  • Experience managing production systems at scale
  • Experience supporting distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
