Job summary

Notre Dame is offering a full-time internship in the Sensor Systems Engineering Division. You will assist Research Engineers in a range of testing, data analysis, and automation tasks for analog and digital circuits.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an EE/CE degree, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and can work 20–40 hours per week. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required, with proficiency in Python or LabVIEW and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Full-time interns must be registered for full-time internship credit; part-time interns must be registered for 6 or more credit hours.
• Knowledge of RF, analog, and digital circuit testing is preferred.
• Experience with lab instrumentation such as power supplies, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience in scripting languages like Python or LabVIEW.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn new software applications and tools.
• Ability to work independently following tasks and departmental guidelines.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal government research contracts.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Work hours range from 20 to 40 hours per week.
