Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Track and inventory analog data (paper, microfilm, microfiche, photography).
• Interact with staff converting materials to digital form.
• Compare inventories with NSSDCA databases for accuracy.
• Quality control review of digitized materials.
• Support user request activities.

ADNET is seeking to hire an Analog Data Archivist to work at the NASA Space Science Data Coordinated Archive (NSSDCA) at Goddard Space Flight Center. Duties involve the tracking and inventory of analog data (paper documents, microfilm/microfiche, photographic materials), interacting with other staff working to convert them into digital form, and comparing inventories of physical holdings with NSSDCA databases. These data are scientific in nature and are being converted not only to fulfill requests for conducting research but also to enhance long-term access and to preserve the data for future use. Other duties might include quality control review of digitized materials, conversion of analog data to digital forms, and supporting user request activities. The work requires specialized software/hardware and is full-time on-site.

Required Skills

• General office skills (typing, filing, copying)
• Ability to follow explicit directions and perform routine activities
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (LPR) required, with US residency for the past 3 consecutive years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Investigation through NASA.
