ADNET is seeking to hire an Analog Data Archivist to work at the NASA Space Science Data Coordinated Archive (NSSDCA) at Goddard Space Flight Center. Duties involve the tracking and inventory of analog data (paper documents, microfilm/microfiche, photographic materials), interacting with other staff working to convert them into digital form, and comparing inventories of physical holdings with NSSDCA databases. These data are scientific in nature and are being converted not only to fulfill requests for conducting research but also to enhance long-term access and to preserve the data for future use. Other duties might include quality control review of digitized materials, conversion of analog data to digital forms, and supporting user request activities. The work requires specialized software/hardware and is full-time on-site.
