Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and disassembly of equipment used for production by mechanical means to produce work-in-process and finished goods. This includes loading, unloading materials, packaging, and handling finished products. The role involves working in production and sanitation as directed by the plant production supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and handling of materials and ingredients.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to control weights on packages or cases.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to designated locations.
• Wear PPE as prescribed for each activity.
• Perform CCP checks as needed.
• Follow SQF principles pertinent to your position.
• Report food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in PSRMP Element teams (minimum of 1 element).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

• Apply good judgment and understand detailed instructions.
• Communicate production issues effectively.
• Deal with problems involving several variables.
• Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices is a plus.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience.
• Forklift/Pallet Jack Certification is a plus.

Physical Demands:
