Job summary

Kenco Logistics seeks a detail‑oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare outgoing orders, and receive deliveries at the dock using warehouse management systems. You will manage documents, label and stage items, and ensure accurate alignment with purchase orders.

In this role you will inspect shipments for damage, maintain inventory records, support cycle counts, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards to keep the site inspection ready for

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel required
• Attention to detail and quality required
• Ability to multitask in a safe manner

Responsibilities

• Document management for documents needed to support the operation.
• Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
• Stage shipments for shipping
• Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving
• Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates
• Unload delivery vehicles and move items to appropriate area
• Inspect for damage and verify against freight bills; document discrepancies
• Maintain records of all items received and shipped
• Check receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Keep work area clean and follow safety regulations
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs
• Monitor FIFO/lot/age in CGMP environments
• May assist with inventory cycle counts
• Other applicable duties as assigned

About the Position

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments. This position prepares outgoing shipments and receives deliveries to the warehouse at the dock and using warehouse management systems.

Functions

• Document management: Manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents necessary to support the operation.
• Labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
• Stage shipments for shipping
• Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving
• Operates the stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
• Unloads delivery vehicles and moves items to appropriate area.
• Inspects for damage, compares items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and documents discrepancies.
• Maintains records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
• Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• If the site is a CGMP environment (Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA), monitor proper inventory requirements: FIFO (First In First Out), Lot, and Age.
• May assist with inventory cycle counts
• Other applicable duties as assigned.
