Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments. This role prepares outgoing shipments and receives deliveries to the warehouse at the dock and using warehouse management systems.

The position requires attention to detail, basic Excel skills, and the ability to multitask safely while maintaining accurate inventory records and clean, organized work areas. You will help ensure compliance with SQFI, FDA, and CGMP where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and quality required.
• Ability to multitask in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Document management: manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents required for operations.
• Labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
• Stage shipments for shipping and prepare docks for receiving.
• Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving.
• Operates stretch wrap banders and prepares pallets and crates for shipping.
• Unloads delivery vehicles and moves items to appropriate areas.
• Inspects for damage, compares items and quantities received against records, and documents discrepancies.
• Maintains records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
• Checks receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety regulations.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs; CGMP considerations as applicable.
• May assist with inventory cycle counts; other duties as assigned.

About The Position

• Maintains records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
• Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• If the site is a CGMP environment (Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA), monitor proper inventory requirements: FIFO (First In First Out), Lot, and Age.
• May assist with inventory cycle counts
• Other applicable duties as assigned.
