Job summary

Stanley Reid & Company is seeking a Systems Engineer (SRE) to support multiple cross-functional project teams in Chantilly, VA. You will monitor applications, coordinate changes to the environment, and drive resiliency and performance improvements in a cloud-native AWS environment.

About you: expertise in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; Linux environment experience; programming in Python, Java, or JavaScript; and strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and Elasticsearch/Solr.

Qualifications

• Experience leveraging cloud-native tools to build infrastructure and sustain applications in an AWS environment.
• Experience writing cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) – Terraform.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, and Helm.
• Familiarity with delivering and debugging in a Linux environment.
• Experience developing software in Python (preferred), Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases – PostgreSQL, MySQL or document databases – Elasticsearch, Solr.
• Experience with Git and Git-based workflows.
• Experience providing tier 3 support; performing root cause analysis of failures.

• Recommend and implement technical/process enhancements to improve reliability and uptime.
