Job summary

Daxko is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead the team responsible for keeping our production platforms stable, secure, and fast for the communities we serve.

You will partner with engineering leaders to ensure reliability keeps pace with product growth, own uptime and data integrity, and guide hiring to support future demand. This role emphasizes collaboration, automation, and a calm, systems-thinking approach.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience leading or managing distributed engineering teams.
• 3–5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Strong experience with Linux-based systems and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• A security-first mindset, with experience implementing infrastructure security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SREs, setting clear goals, coaching performance, and building the on-call and incident response processes that keep production stable.
• Own system uptime, data integrity, and operational stability across all production environments.
• Partner with engineering leads to align platform operations with what product teams need to ship.
• Serve as the technical escalation point when infrastructure problems get complex.
• Monitor system health and capacity to catch issues before they become incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, tooling, and better monitoring.
• Report regularly on availability, response times, and capacity trends, and make sure operations meet security and compliance requirements.
• Guide hiring and headcount planning to keep the team staffed for what's ahead.

About the role

As Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, you'll lead the team that keeps Daxko's production platforms stable, secure, and fast for the organizations and communities who rely on them every day. You'll partner closely with engineering leaders to make sure reliability keeps pace with product growth. This role is right for someone who's calm under pressure, thinks in systems, and genuinely enjoys helping engineers do their best work.

What you'll do

Nice to have

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as OpenTelemetry, Instana, LogicMonitor, PagerDuty, or OpsGenie
• Experience with automation tooling such as Terraform, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Chef, or Rancher
• Scripting experience in Ruby, Python, or Bash
• Familiarity with SOC, PCI, or GDPR compliance standards
• Experience supporting applications built in Java, PHP, or Node
