Job summary

Mastercard invites interns to join the Site Reliability Engineering team in St. Louis for Summer 2027. This role focuses on production readiness, resilience, and operational excellence across Mastercard products.

You’ll collaborate with developers to improve monitoring, automation, and incident responses while learning modern SRE practices. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree with expected graduation 2027–2028, have hands-on scripting and Linux experience, and are eager to work in

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
Experience with Python, Go, Bash, or similar in coursework, projects, or internships.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and foundational networking concepts.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
Understanding of monitoring, observability, reliability, troubleshooting and performance.
Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or PCF through academic or hands-on work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
