Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our Business Operations team. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications powering Mastercard’s global operations. You will drive automation, develop observability, and mentor teammates to build resilient services.

You’ll work with developers and operations partners across our worldwide technology network. This role emphasizes proactive incident prevention, capacity planning, and adherence to ITSM

Qualifications

• Proven ability to implement observability with metrics, logs, and traces.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Experience managing Linux/Unix systems and networking.
• Hands-on cloud design, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on elements within SRE area applying best practices.
• Support high-availability systems to ensure stability.
• Evaluate operational needs and develop technical solutions.
• Contribute to automation and scripting projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; escalate complex problems.
• Document operational procedures and share knowledge.
• Participate in quality checks to ensure system stability.
• Use area processes to implement minor enhancements and lead small initiatives.
