Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Little Elm, Texas seeks an Engineer to design and operate enterprise messaging platforms. The role focuses on IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka in production, building CI/CD pipelines, and robust OpenShift deployments.

You will automate provisioning with Bash/Python, implement security (TLS/mTLS, SASL/OAUTH), and ensure high availability, observability, and disaster recovery while collaborating with application teams on event-driven architecture.

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka in production environments.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency in Linux, Bash and Python scripting for automation.
• Experience deploying middleware on OpenShift (OCP) and in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain IBM MQ queue managers, channels, clustering, and security.
• Manage Confluent Kafka brokers, topics, ACLs, Connect, and Schema Registry.
• Deploy and manage Kafka and MQ on OpenShift and/or AWS.
• Enable containerization and operator-based deployments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration via CI/CD, scripting, and Ansible.
• Ensure TLS/mTLS, SASL/OAUTH security, high availability, and DR for messaging platforms.
• Implement monitoring/alerting and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Collaborate with application teams on event-driven architecture best practices.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
