You will work with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and product to accelerate customer migrations and demonstrate the business value of AWS data services. Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Data Migration and Modernization (D2M) team as a Business Development Specialist.

The Worldwide Specialist Organization is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customers’ most complex and business-critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development specialists and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Data Migration and Modernization (D2M) is a Worldwide (WW) Specialist team that supports both AWS customers and AWS Field teams to help our customers migrate and modernize their Database and Analytic workloads to AWS. A D2M WW Specialist develops global initiatives and mechanisms to help accelerate migrations, guides our customers through the challenges they will face, and enables our AWS teams and partners to position the business value of data migration and modernization with AWS. This role will also help shape the roadmap, support development, and drive adoption of programs to accelerate customers across their entire migration lifecycle. The D2M WW team sees the big picture and sets the plan so the world’s most customer obsessed technical teams can make history.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead Specialist to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain, thinking through challenges on a 1-3+ year time scale.
• Leverage your deep data domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategies.
• Support field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
• Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
• Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
• 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
• 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
• 5+ years of in program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making experience
• Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
• Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling workforce development programs across large-scale operations, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams
• Experience using analytical tools for workforce metrics and reporting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
