Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company seeks a Senior Workforce Planning Consultant, External Workforce, to support governance, supplier performance, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for the external workforce program.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Workforce Planning, you will partner with HR, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and suppliers to design, analyze, and optimize processes; translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning or related fields.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and process improvement skills.
  • Experience with SAP Fieldglass, VMS/MSP, contingent labor, supplier management, or workforce governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical analyses to forecast attrition and workforce needs.
  • Define and monitor workforce planning initiatives for the organization.
  • Develop workforce planning metrics and reports.
  • Advise leaders on workforce planning best practices.
  • Lead or participate in workforce planning projects.
  • Mentor junior compensation consultants.

Position Specific Description

The Senior Workforce Planning Consultant, External Workforce, under the supervision of the Manager, Workforce Planning, will support governance, supplier performance, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for the external workforce program. This role requires strong judgment, clear communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to find the right answer in a complex, evolving environment.

Program Governance & Process Improvement
  • Help design, document, and improve external workforce processes, controls, approvals, and exception handling.
  • Partner with HR, Procurement, Legal, Finance, suppliers, and business units to strengthen program governance.
  • Identify process gaps, ownership issues, compliance risks, and opportunities to simplify the stakeholder experience.
Supplier & Program Performance
  • Analyze supplier, spend, tenure, rate, cycle-time, compliance, and workforce trend data.
  • Support supplier scorecards, performance reviews, issue tracking, and improvement actions.
  • Translate data into clear insights, risks, decisions, and leadership recommendations.
Stakeholder Communications & Issue Resolution
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for complex workforce data, supplier, process, and governance questions.
  • Own ambiguous issues through resolution by finding the source of truth, validating facts, and documenting outcomes.
  • Lead working sessions, communicate risks, clarify decisions needed, and close the loop with stakeholders.
Change, Training & Documentation
  • Develop stakeholder communications, job aids, FAQs, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Turn recurring questions and pain points into scalable process improvements.
  • Coach junior team members on issue resolution, documentation, communication, and Fieldglass process discipline.

An Ideal Candidiate Should Have
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR operations, procurement, supplier management, contingent workforce, program management, or business operations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and process improvement skills.
  • SAP Fieldglass, VMS/MSP, contingent labor, supplier management, compliance, or workforce governance experience strongly preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs detailed statistical analyses regarding the Company’s workforce including linear and logical regressions to forecast attrition and retirements and general workforce needs
  • Works with operational personnel to establish and maintain workforce planning initiatives for the organization
  • Defines, monitors, and reports workforce planning metrics
  • Consults and provides direction to business leaders in the area of workforce planning best practices
  • Conducts research and analysis to support workforce forecasting and analytics
  • Translates business unit needs into a comprehensive project plan which ensures successful implementation of workforce planning
  • Creates and deploys standardized reports including the formulation of strategic planning
  • Develops documentation and support materials and keep abreast of new tools and processes
  • Participates or leads one or more workforce planning related projects
  • Serves as a mentor to lower level compensation consultants
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 5+ years
