Penbrothers International is seeking a Senior Wordpress/Digital Marketing Specialist to own the WordPress site, ensuring speed, accessibility, security, and alignment with marketing goals. You will develop pages, templates, and landing pages; work with PHP/HTML/CSS/JS to customize templates; and manage plugins for performance and security.

This remote, full-time role focuses on SEO, AI-ready content, and analytics to support lead generation and discovery calls for Hawaii and Guam-focused clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain WordPress pages, templates, and landing pages using block editor and page builder.

Our client is a Hawaii-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) specializing in managed IT, cybersecurity, and CMMC compliance for organizations across Hawaii and Guam, with a strong focus on DoD contractors and subcontractors preparing for CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements. We take a security-first, compliance-led approach and are known locally as a specialist in a category most MSPs don’t understand deeply.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Wordpress/Digital Marketing Specialist to own the development, maintenance, performance, and continuous improvement of our WordPress website.

You will build and maintain website pages, templates, and landing pages; troubleshoot technical issues; optimize website speed, security, accessibility, and search engine readiness; and ensure the site supports our digital marketing and lead-generation efforts.

You will also implement website-related SEO improvements, structured data, analytics and conversion tracking, and landing-page enhancements to help prospective customers find Intech Pacific, understand our services, and book discovery calls and assessments.

This is a hands-on technical role focused primarily on WordPress development and website ownership, with supporting knowledge of SEO, AI search visibility, paid media, analytics, and conversion optimization.

What You’ll Do

WordPress development and site management

• Build, update, and maintain pages, templates, and landing pages in WordPress using the block editor and our current page builder.
• Work in child themes, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize templates, hooks, and custom post types.
• Manage plugins: audit, update, test on staging, resolve conflicts, and reduce plugin count where possible.
• Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals through caching, image optimization, script control, and font loading.
• Maintain backups, staging workflow, security hygiene, uptime monitoring, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.
• Manage forms, spam control, and lead handoff to our CRM.

SEO

• Run keyword and intent research for CMMC, compliance, cybersecurity, and managed IT topics in Hawaii and Guam.
• Own technical SEO: indexation, canonicals, sitemaps, robots directives, redirects, and crawl issues.
• Optimize on-page elements: titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and media.
• Build topic clusters and hub pages, and write content briefs for writers and the marketing team.
• Manage local SEO, including Google Business Profile, NAP consistency, and Hawaii and Guam location pages.

AEO and GEO (AI answer engine and generative search visibility)

• Structure content so AI assistants and generative search can extract and cite it: direct answers, question headings, FAQs, and comparison tables.
• Implement and validate schema (Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList, Person) that matches visible page content.
• Maintain llms.txt and AI crawler access settings.
• Track brand presence and citations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews.

PPC and paid media

• Build and manage Google Ads campaigns, ad groups, keywords, match types, and negative keyword lists.
• Write and test responsive search ads and assets.
• Run retargeting and, where it fits, LinkedIn Ads for DoD and regulated audiences.
• Review search terms weekly, manage budget pacing, and lower cost per qualified lead.

Analytics, tracking, and CRO

• Manage GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Set up conversion tracking for forms, calls, and booked meetings, including offline conversion import.
• Plan and run A/B tests on landing pages and CTAs with a clear hypothesis and decision rule.
• Deliver a monthly report that leads with leads and pipeline, not traffic alone.

What You Bring

• At least five years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, with a portfolio of live WordPress websites personally built, customized, or maintained.
• Working proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including child themes, template customization, and WordPress hooks.
• Demonstrated experience improving website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
• Proven technical and on-page SEO work, with examples of rankings or organic leads you improved and how.
• Working knowledge of AEO and GEO: structuring content and schema so AI answer engines cite it.
• Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console, particularly for website tracking, diagnostics, and reporting.
• Understanding of website accessibility, security hygiene, and responsive design.
• Strong written English and the ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• A disciplined approach to testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and production releases.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience marketing B2B services, especially MSPs, cybersecurity, or IT consulting.
• Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, or other compliance-driven buyer journeys.
• Experience with Divi, ACF, or custom Gutenberg blocks.
• LinkedIn Ads experience targeting government contractors or regulated industries.
• Experience with call tracking, heatmaps, or session recording tools.
• Local SEO experience for multi-location or regional businesses.
• Google Ads or GA4 certification.
