Job summary

CrowdStrike in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a hands-on software engineer for the Falcon Host sensor team. You will help architect, build, and improve next‑generation Anti-Virus and EDR software across Windows, Mac, and Linux, contributing to AI‑driven security decisions.

You will collaborate with distributed teams, own features from design to delivery, participate in sprint demos, and mentor others while applying deep C++ and OS internals knowledge to deliver scalable, high‑performance systems.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge with C++ and Windows OS Kernel Development.
• Strong low-level OS internals in Windows, Mac OS, or Linux.
• Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions and system performance.
• Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.

About The Role:

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a "sensor", which is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer's network can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines and presents our customers' operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

What You'll Do:

• Provide partnership on the sensor development team involved in architecture, strategy, in building and improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response Security Software
• Develop new product concepts
• Support development teams in designing and building software with cross-platform deliverables (Windows, Mac, Linux)
• Own features from design to delivery including participation in product demo at the end of the sprint
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations

What You'll Need:

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
