Job summary

Snap-On Tools is seeking a web developer to own SBS web projects, define requirements with account professionals, write and test code in ASP.NET/C#, and document processes and results for test environments.

The role requires strong HTML/JavaScript skills, MS SQL/IIS, and experience with Visio, Word, Excel, and Access, plus excellent written and spoken communication to coordinate with Marketing, Product Management and IT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience
• Experience with web design
• Knowledge of content management systems
• Knowledge of Internet, Intranet, and e-commerce systems and their content update processes
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
• In-depth experience with Visual Studio 2005 (or later), MS SQL 2000, 2005, 2008 IIS7
• Ability to work alone or in teams on projects with little direction
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Overview

Responsible for all web development of SBS projects. Work closely with account professionals in defining requirements, preparing design documents, developing code, unit and system testing code, documenting code and processes, and rolling code to test environment. Must follow all standards and development prodecures. The position reports to the SBS Technology Manager. Must be proficient in latest web technologies including ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, MS SQL 2000/2005/2008, IIS, XML technologies, JAVA Script, ASP, and html. Must have experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and Access applications. Strong oral and written communication is necessary.
