Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Minimum of 6 - 10 years of experience in the planning and design of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure. Experience should include hydraulic and mechanical designs for water and wastewater pumping stations, storage facilities, and treatment plants. Knowledge of piping, valving, and pumping design for water distribution and wastewater collection systems is required. Ability to coordinate designs with electrical, survey, civil, structural, architectural, and environmental disciplines. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting related to water and wastewater systems. Experience in preparing contract documents, including drawings and specifications.

• Experience in a supervisory capacity, planning, developing, coordinating, and directing projects with complex features, comparable to a Sr. Design Engineer.
• Experience as an individual researcher or worker, carrying out complex or novel assignments requiring new techniques and procedures.
• Development and evaluation of plans and criteria for projects, assessing feasibility and soundness.
• PE License required.
• Experience in all phases of water & wastewater infrastructure design and industry-related services.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Reliability, commitment, and successful project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 6 - 10 years of professional experience; PE required.
• Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring projects involving overhead and underground systems.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships and coordinate activities effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Pre-employment drug screening, background, and motor vehicle checks may be required.
