Your Role:

This position can be hybrid within the Denver, CO area.

• Serve as a Senior Engineer on various municipal wastewater projects;
• Review conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;
• Review detailed engineering reports and supporting documents;
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates;
• Ensure standard engineering practices and proper documentation on reports and design projects;
• Develop and review engineering interpretations of specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications;
• Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work safely, timely, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulations;
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers;
• Support construction activities (field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing review, RFIs);
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, focusing on water/wastewater;
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Colorado is required;
• 15+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects;
• Design experience with pipe materials, valves, and pumps is preferred;
• Experience with hydraulic system calculations, pump stations, pressure pipelines, storm and sanitary sewer pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment plants is preferred;
• Previous experience in business development is a plus;
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills;
• Active membership in professional associations such as RMWEA or RMSAWWA is preferred;
• Experience with jurisdictional and regulatory permitting is required.

Salary Range:

PE: $130,000 to $200,000 depending on experience.
