Position Overview
The Senior Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations through manual order fulfillment and case picking using material handling equipment such as an electric pallet jack (EPJ) and order fulfillment systems. This position is responsible for achieving productivity targets, ensuring order accuracy, and performing a variety of warehouse tasks with minimal supervision, while supporting a culture of safety and teamwork.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment & Material Handling
- Perform manual case picking and order fulfillment using MHE such as an EPJ and/or order processing systems.
- Coordinate and execute value-added service (VAS) activities as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with the consolidation, wrapping, and labeling of pallets and outbound orders.
Productivity, Quality & Safety
- Consistently meet productivity and accuracy targets for order picking and warehouse tasks.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to verify correct products, quantities, and packaging requirements.
- Operate equipment and perform all job duties in compliance with CJ Logistics America's safety standards and procedures.
- Participate in safety, compliance, and operational training programs as required.
Independent Work & Team Collaboration
- Execute daily assignments with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative in completing tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Support physical inventories, cycle counts, and assist with special warehouse projects as assigned.
- Promote a positive teamwork culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Perform other related job duties as assigned or required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent - or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least six (6) months of related warehouse or order fulfillment experience.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver electric pallet jacks and hand-operated pallet jacks.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics environments.
- Prior experience with value-added services (VAS) and order fulfillment systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with electronic record-keeping and label printing systems.
- Experience collaborating with customer operations or inventory teams.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the physical ability to:
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours, depending on shift)
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds at various heights including ground-level and racking zones frequently
- Reach with hands and arms overhead and below waist level
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift heavier items with or without assistance
- Use fine motor skills/manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, or keyboards
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or control objects
- See clearly at close range and at distance, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Hear and understand verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment signals in a noisy environment
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and distribution center environment. The employee is frequently exposed to:
- Varying temperatures, including but not limited to refrigerated or non-climate-controlled areas
- Loud noise levels, such as machinery, forklifts, and conveyor systems
- Dust, odors, and airborne particles
- Concrete flooring and moving mechanical equipment
- Frequent exposure to powered industrial vehicles and warehouse traffic
The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.

This role may be performed on-site only.
