Welcome to the Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWRR) organization at Amazon.com. We aim to achieve zero cost of returns and zero product waste through innovative liquidation channels, optimizing existing channels, donating products to those in need, and reducing recycling reliance.

Amazon WWRR manages the lifecycle of returned or damaged products, from customer to warehouse and onto their next use. Our work includes training machine learning models, inventing new channels for product reuse, developing customer support, piloting product evaluations, and enhancing return experiences while monitoring key performance metrics.

As Sr. Vendor Manager, Liquidations, your responsibilities include building and managing programs that support new and specialty liquidation businesses, ensuring products are routed through channels to maximize recovery value. You should have strategic leadership, program management, vendor management, and financial skills to identify opportunities and expand channels.

You will focus on identifying growth opportunities, building vendor partnerships, and enhancing customer experience across channels.

Up to 50% travel required for role

Key responsibilities
  1. Owning the liquidation channels' business and financial metrics.
  2. Managing commercial agreements with liquidation vendors (B2B).
  3. Expanding specialty liquidation programs (e.g., 3P auctions, 1P solutions).
  4. Managing programs and accounts related to liquidation channels.
  5. Making business decisions to optimize recovery.
  6. Enhancing customer experience for buyers.
  7. Identifying industry trends and vendor partners.
  8. Setting strategic goals aligned with broader business objectives.
  9. Representing Amazon in meetings with senior vendors and building strategic relationships.
  10. Negotiating RFPs and strategic deals with vendors.
  11. Participating in business reviews with senior leadership.
  12. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Tech, Finance, and Operations.
  13. Resolving barriers to improve recovery and customer experience.
A day in the life

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Product, Tech teams, and external B2B vendors. Your work involves problem-solving, achieving strategic goals, and analyzing business performance to drive improvements.

Basic Qualifications
