Job description

Primary Responsibilities

1. Experience in writing complex SQL queries and experience with any data visualization tool is preferable e.g., Tableau, Power BI.
2. Good exposure to Software Testing methodologies, implementation of Data Lakes, Data Warehouse/ETL projects, and Big Data projects in On-Premises & Cloud Environments.
3. Experienced in SAS applications and Python programming.
4. Ability to write SQL queries to conduct data validations and probe quality issues with data.
5. Experience in Project Delivery Methodologies: SDLC, Iterative, Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
6. Experience in ALM Tools like JIRA, TFS (Azure DevOps) & Confluence.
7. Knowledge of data quality fundamentals and data governance concepts.
8. Hands-on experience with all levels of testing including Smoke Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and Regression Testing.
9. Knowledge of PL-SQL, PySpark & SQL, on framing and tuning the queries to cover all data scenarios.
10. Accountable for high quality and on-time delivery for tasks assigned.
11. Perform RCA and CAPA for quality issues, and perform risk assessment and mitigate risks.
12. Experienced in ETL tools like Informatica Power Center, SAAS, PL-SQL.
13. Experienced in Test Data preparation to check scenarios.
14. Loading/Running the End-to-End jobs and verifying the data loading from Source to Reports/Dashboards.
15. Involved in end-to-end testing.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required in computer sciences, or equivalent and relevant work experience in a software testing environment.

Experience:

1. Around 7 to 10 years of experience in Software Quality Testing.
2. In-depth understanding of software quality assurance, preferably in a Clinical Data environment.
3. Ability to write complex SQL queries to conduct data validations and probe quality issues with data.
4. Experience in database objects (Snowflake preferred).
5. Strong experience in Project Delivery Methodologies: SDLC, Iterative, Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
6. Good knowledge and understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) testing methodology and document management.
7. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PPT, etc.).
8. Strong track record of creating test plans and writing test cases based on product requirements.
9. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements.
