Job description

We are seeking a Senior UX Engineer with deep expertise in front-end development to help bridge the gap between design and code. In this role, you will play a key part in translating UX and visual designs into scalable, accessible, and high-quality code, ensuring a seamless implementation of our design system across digital products. You will maintain and evolve the codebase, contribute to documentation with clear code examples, and collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to prioritize and implement enhancements, features, and fixes. You'll also lead code reviews, advocate for best practices, and stay ahead of front-end trends to ensure a modern, cohesive, and user-centered digital experience.

Qualifications: Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience building several design systems, transforming static design elements into interactive code components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Experience troubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions.
  • Ability to gather information, perform research for root cause analysis, define problems, and recommend solutions supported by data.
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and adjust communication style as needed.
  • Mentoring skills and the ability to support team members while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Eagerness to learn industry trends and maintain a continuous learning mindset.
  • Collaborative mindset, ability to earn trust, and respect from peers and leadership.
  • Experience supporting diverse development teams, including global staffing and crowdsourcing.
  • Proven ability to craft and maintain tools, libraries, and documentation for in-house UX frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information:

  • Participate in developing complex UI artifacts used by multiple teams.
  • Maintain documentation and code examples describing usage and best practices.
  • Work closely with UX designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure user experience is integral from start to finish.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Plan, develop, implement, debug, and support web-based products and projects.
  • Conduct peer reviews, provide guidance, and suggest best practices.
  • Measure outcomes using analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Adhere to and improve coding standards and UI design patterns.
  • Work in a team environment with shared code, source control, and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
