Job summary

Optomi is seeking a Senior Product Designer to craft end-to-end digital experiences for employees across global parks, resorts, and destination experiences. The role spans UX, interaction, and visual design, contributing through the full lifecycle from concept to launch across web, mobile web, iOS, and Android.

The position is a 12-month contract with potential extension or conversion to FTE. Onsite in Orlando with a Friday remote option, requiring a portfolio and strong storytelling in design

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years as an end-to-end, multidisciplinary Product Designer.
  • Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills.
  • Experience designing for premium brands in hospitality, travel, or entertainment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship products.
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design.
  • Strong user-centered design principles.
  • Experience creating interactive prototypes.
  • Exceptional visual craft and attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Able to work independently and mentor junior designers.
  • Portfolio of end-to-end design work; interview will require presentation.
  • Two-year degree; four-year degree preferred.

Job description

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the entertainment and travel experiences industry, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help create thoughtful, intuitive digital experiences used by employees across globally recognized parks, resorts, cruises, and destination experiences.

This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary product designer who can work across UX, interaction design, and visual design to create polished end-to-end product experiences. The Senior Product Designer will contribute throughout the full design lifecycle, from early concept and project scoping through prototyping, execution, and final implementation across web, mobile web, iOS, Android, and emerging digital platforms.

Duration: 12 month contract (with option to extend up to 2 years or convert to FTE)

Onsite/Hybrid Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite in Orlando hub; Friday remote (subject to change)

The Right Candidate Will Have:

  • 5–7 years of professional experience as an end-to-end, multidisciplinary Product Designer
  • Strong capabilities across user experience, interaction design, and visual design
  • Experience designing for premium consumer brands, ideally within hospitality, travel, e-commerce, entertainment, or food and beverage
  • Demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional product development teams to launch customer-facing digital products
  • Experience using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Experience creating interactive prototypes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and visual craft
  • Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work independently while helping guide more junior designers
  • A strong portfolio showcasing impactful end-to-end product design work; a portfolio presentation will be required during the interview process
  • A two-year college degree or equivalent experience; a four-year degree is preferred

What You Will Do:

  • Design original, intuitive, and visually refined digital experiences for employees across large-scale travel, hospitality, and destination environments
  • Own product design from initial concept and problem definition through execution, implementation, and launch
  • Partner closely with product management, engineering, consumer insights, and other designers to solve complex product challenges
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into sketches, wireframes, design specifications, high-fidelity compositions, redlines, and interactive prototypes
  • Guide designs through implementation and ensure final products accurately reflect approved design direction
  • Apply thoughtful design principles to experiences that connect physical and digital touchpoints
  • Work within established design systems, patterns, standards, and best practices while identifying opportunities to evolve them
  • Advocate for both employee and end-user perspectives throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Design experiences across desktop web, mobile web, iOS, and Android
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to validate and improve design decisions
  • Present concepts, design rationale, and recommendations to senior and executive-level stakeholders
  • Participate in project scoping, estimation, and planning discussions
  • Collaborate closely with the broader design organization and help support the growth of more junior designers

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience designing conversational interfaces or other emerging digital product experiences
  • Previous experience within travel, hospitality, theme parks, entertainment, e-commerce, or food and beverage environments
  • Experience designing products that bridge physical and digital experiences
