Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. is seeking a Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team in San Francisco.

You will coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics or similar organizations and perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation. Responsibilities include obtaining patient information, preparing patients and rooms, and maintaining RDMS credentials according to ARDMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program.
• Must be able to rotate shifts, weekends and on-call.
• Requires ARDMS Abdomen and OB/Gyn credentials.
• BLS certification required.
• 2–5 years of diagnostic medical sonography experience.
• Maintain ARDMS credentials per ARDMS criteria.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient clinical information prior to exams.
• Prepare patient for imaging and arrange room and equipment.
• Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation.
• Demonstrate self-critique and recognize sub-optimal techniques.
• Meet physical requirements for portable exams and patient transfers.
• Maintain RDMS credentials according to ARDMS criteria.

We are seeking a Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer to become apart of our team!You willcoordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics or similar organizations.

Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation:

• Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and/or service prior to performing exam.
• Prepare patient for imaging.
• Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
• Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
• Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to: performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair
• Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

Required skills:

• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
• Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
• Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.
• Requires (2-5) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound departmentOR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
• Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria
