Home Health is seeking Certified Staff 1/2 or Senior Sonographers to perform high-frequency noninvasive ultrasound procedures. You will work under Radiology leadership and maintain competency across modalities, including timely certification renewals and cross-training responsibilities.
The role requires ARDMS certification, with RDMS/RVT expectations varying by staff level; senior staff should hold RDMS OB and an additional ARDMS specialty, with 5+ years in sonography.
The Certified Staff 1 and 2/Senior Sonographer works under the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and Operations Supervisor, and under the clinical direction and guidance of the Radiologist and Ultrasound Team Leader. The Sonographer performs a variety of routine, complex and highly technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.
Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality. Competencies in each modality must bekept at adequate levels of performance for each area, and necessary documentation, including certification renewals, must take place on a yearly basis.
High school graduate or equivalent, graduate of an approved CAHEA/JRCT school of Radiologic Technology, or a two year allied health equivalent. RDMS ultrasound certification.
