Job summary

Brickstech is seeking a Senior UI/UX Developer/Architect to lead accessibility and enterprise design system efforts across multiple state systems.

You will build a scalable component library, apply USWDS/enterprise design system patterns, and develop high-level wrapper components with Angular, HTML, and SASS to ensure consistent, accessible user interfaces.

You will be the accessibility, and design systems lead for multiple high-visibility state enterprise systems that must meet federal WCAG 2.1/AAA compliance. The core work is building a scalable, reusable component library from scratch using USWDS (or similar enterprise design system), Angular, HTML, SASS, and Storybook for development, documentation, and testing.

You need 5+ years of front-end experience with proven expertise in semantic HTML, ARIA roles, accessibility testing workflows, and creating high-level wrapper components that ensure consistency and accessibility. Strong experience creating and integrating enterprise design systems and reusable libraries is mandatory.

Beyond coding, you will partner with cross-functional teams, mentor developers new to accessibility, participate in code reviews and accessibility audits, and ensure all front-end assets are accessible, reusable, scalable, and sustainable. Strong communication skills are critical, with preferred backend knowledge in .NET, MVC, and SQL, and a bachelor's degree is required.
