Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. UC Network Engineer to join a DoD-focused team delivering advanced networking, data center, and collaboration solutions.

This role requires an active Secret Clearance and a hybrid schedule at Scott Air Force Base, IL, with four days on-site per week. You will lead customer delivery engagements, design and deploy enterprise networking and UC technologies, and advise leadership on modernization efforts while ensuring secure, reliable voice, video, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/IT or related technical discipline preferred.
• 8+ years in network/enterprise technology environments.
• Expert-level networking knowledge with advanced certifications preferred.
• Extensive experience with enterprise routing, switching, security, and data center tech.
• Experience developing automation/orchestration using APIs and scripting.
• Hands-on Docker, version control systems, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Strong background with voice protocols, PSTN, and enterprise UC deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer delivery engagements and provide escalation support for large-scale infrastructure, network, and collaboration solutions.
• Design, implement, integrate, optimize, and support enterprise networking, security, data center, virtualization, and collaboration technologies.
• Lead troubleshooting for routing, switching, security, data center, and UC environments.
• Advise customer leadership with technical guidance, architecture recommendations, and modernization planning.
• Design and implement firewall policies, HA configurations, and secure connectivity for voice, video, messaging, and enterprise apps.
• Support hyper-converged/virtualized infrastructure hosting critical services.
• Support Linux/Windows Server environments for enterprise apps, monitoring, and mgmt tools.
• Participate in crisis management, identifying and mitigating operational risks.

This role is responsible for delivering advanced engineering services, leading complex network and collaboration initiatives, and serving as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise technology modernization efforts. This is a long-term opportunity requiring an active Secret Clearance within a hybrid environment located at Scott Air Force Base, IL (4 days onsite per week).

Qualifications for the Sr. UC Network Engineer include:

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure consulting, or enterprise technology support environments.
• Expert-level networking knowledge with advanced certifications preferred.
• Extensive experience with enterprise routing, switching, security, and data center technologies.
• Experience developing automation and orchestration solutions using APIs, scripting, and infrastructure automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, version control systems, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience administering and supporting Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Strong background working with voice protocols, PSTN connectivity, and enterprise collaboration deployments.

Compensation for the Sr. UC Network Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000/year
