Job summary

KPFF Coeur d’Alene is seeking a Sr. Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead design and project delivery for regional transportation projects.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and collaborate with clients and public agencies from concept through construction. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of civil transportation experience, a BSCE, and Idaho licensure (EIT or PE).

Qualifications

  • 7 years of civil engineering experience, transportation focus.
  • BSCE from accredited program.
  • EIT or PE license in Idaho.
  • Experience with ITD or local agencies.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency; MicroStation/OpenRoads a plus.
  • Team-oriented with strong client service.

Responsibilities

  • Design transportation projects in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute from concept through construction.
  • Engage with clients and agency partners.
  • Support growth of KPFF Coeur d’Alene Idaho practice.

We work on a wide range of transportation projects,includinglocal and Stateroadways, intersections, and interchanges, bicycle and pedestrianfacilities,andothermajorinfrastructure efforts throughoutIdaho andthe Inland and Pacific Northwest.Our team supports projects from early planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and construction. This role offers the opportunity tojoin agrowingteam early and playan integralpart in shaping our work in the region.

Design and Project Responsibilities
  • Design a diverse array of transportation projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
  • Work on challenging and meaningful projects from concept through construction
  • Engage with clients and agency partners
  • Help grow our Idaho practice and shape the future of KPFF Coeur d’Alene
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7years' experience with civil engineering projects(transportationpreferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) Registration in ID.
  • Experience working with or for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD.)
  • Experience working with or for Local Agencies or Highway Districts.
  • Workingproficiencyin AutoCAD and Civil3D, Bonus Points for MicroStation andOpenRoads(InRoads, GEOPAK)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passionate about providing exceptional client service.
Physical Demands
  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer.
  • Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasional visits to project and construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
  • Travelto project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.
Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $105,000 - $115,000 annually.

Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
