ATC in Wisconsin is seeking a Sr. Transmission Line Services Engineer who combines transmission line expertise with a customer-service mindset to support engineering, construction and maintenance, ensuring safe, cost-effective, reliable assets for communities we serve.

Bring your positive energy to ATC! We’re looking for a Sr. Transmission Line Services Engineer who pairs transmission line knowledge with a customer service mindset. In this role, you’ll lead standards efforts, translate technical information into practical applications, and provide dependable support for engineering, construction and maintenance—helping ensure our assets remain safe, cost effective, and reliable for the communities we serve.
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Wisconsin and/or Michigan PE not required, but preferred.
5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering, design, standards development, asset management, or related utility engineering functions. Field, maintenance, or construction support experience is a plus.
Foundational knowledge in one or more areas of transmission line engineering, including foundations, transmission line structures, conductor systems, insulators, line hardware, grounding, clearances, or constructability and maintainability. Candidates are not expected to possess expertise in every discipline; however, demonstrated strength across multiple technical areas and the ability to grow into subject matter expert responsibilities supporting critical Transmission Line Services functions is highly valued.
Familiarity with applicable industry standards and utility practices (e.g., NESC, IEEE, NERC, ASCE, and RUS guidance).
Experience collaborating with engineering consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.

The targeted base pay for this position is $119,500 to $139,400 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more. *The pay range is a general guideline.
