Job summary

Medtronic is hiring an Sr. Training & Education Specialist to join the Advanced Field Training Team. You will train field representatives on electrophysiology therapies, develop curricula, and deliver instruction across in-person and virtual formats.

The role supports global education needs with a focus on adult learning principles and compliance. The position offers remote work within the US, with travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of relevant experience in clinical lab/training/medical device fields.
  • Experience designing training curriculum to achieve organizational goals.
  • Experience working with technical content and synthesizing key learnings into training content.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and continuous improvement of training programs and events for field employees on Medtronic CRM products, therapies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders, Medical Education, and Marketing to create interactive training programs for in-person and virtual settings.
  • Deliver classroom, lab, or web-based technical product and procedure instruction.
  • Develop and maintain digital education content aligned with field priorities.
  • Identify gaps in content and Medtronic technology/therapy and develop programs to address them.
  • Partner with field teams to support local education and develop content to meet needs.
  • Engage in continuous learning to be a reliable resource for up-to-date knowledge.
  • Navigate content/document review and approval processes for compliance.
  • Maintain project management tracking for program activities related to compliance, logistics, budget, and metrics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels, including Sales and global partners.
  • Work with global regions to identify needs and enable localization of education.
  • Travel up to approximately 40%.

A Day inthe Life:

Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of relevant experience in a clinical lab setting, clinical training, field sales/support in medical device, healthcare industry or equivalent experience (OR Associate’s Degree with 7+ years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 5+ years experience).
  • Experience designing training curriculum to achieve organizational goals andidentifyingtraining gaps
  • Experience working with technical content and synthesizingkey learnings into training content

Nice To Have:

  • Experience designing online learning in a variety of modalities including classroom, synchronous and asynchronous, microlearning, and digital job aids
  • Experience working on multiple, simultaneous projects that require both strategic thinking and high-speed tactical execution
  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Certification(IBHREAPorEP)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and learning principles

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$87,200.00 - $130,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pert towards candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance,Health Savings Account,Healthcare Flexible Spending Account,Life insurance, Long-term disability leave,Dependent daycare spending account,Tuition assistance/reimbursement, andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
