Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate flagger activities for telecommunications construction.
• Place, remove, and repair traffic control devices.
• Supervise traffic flaggers and manage administrative functions.
• Ensure safety standards are met and safety planning is executed daily.
• Inspect traffic control devices for safety and functionality.
• Direct traffic using signs, signals, and verbal commands.
• Maintain focus on safety at all times.
• Set up, maintain, and tear down work zones, meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Lift and place traffic cones and signs safely.
• Organize equipment in trucks and ensure it is in working order.
• Communicate with drivers and warn laborers of hazards.
• Record violations and manage traffic flow signals.
• Prepare maintenance and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety.
• Understanding of telecom construction phases.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's License with a good record.
• Ability to interpret construction and traffic plans.
• Effective communication skills.
• Mathematical proficiency.
• Valid Flagger Certification.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and MUTCD guidelines.
• 500 hours of traffic control flagging experience.
• Basic understanding of construction sites.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $23-26/hr based on experience.
