TEKsystems in Greensboro, NC is seeking a contract security operations professional to enhance threat detection, log onboarding, and data quality across the SIEM and Cribl pipeline. The role focuses on incident response backlog, automation of triage, enrichment, and case management, and improving overall visibility in a hybrid work setting.

The position emphasizes tuning to reduce false positives, integrating security data sources, and delivering measurable improvements in MTTR and security

Competenze

• They are exploring engineering their own case management solution, so any experience with that would be helpful
• Any experience integrating Salesforce data into Threat Detection Capabilities would be a plus, but not expected.

Description

One of our top Retail/Manufacturing clients is focused on expanding their threat detection capabilities. They are well-known for a GREAT team and working environment, so this will be a very attractive engagement. The current team is heavier on Incident Response skills, so this person would add value immediately by addressing the backlog of TD use cases.Security Log Onboarding & Visibility Onboard and validate priority security log sources to improve overall environment visibility.Data Quality & Pipeline Management Leverage Cribl for parsing, normalization, enrichment, filtering, and health monitoring to ensure high-quality data throughout the pipeline.Detection Engineering Expand detection coverage through rule creation, correlation, testing, deployment, and ongoing lifecycle management.Tuning & Noise Reduction Reduce false positives and analyst alert fatigue through structured tuning processes and documented exception handling.SOAR & Automation Automate repeatable triage, enrichment, notification, containment, case management, and reporting workflows.Operational Metrics Drive measurable improvements in MTTX metrics and related SecOps KPIs.Existing tooling:Sentinel - SIEMCribl - parsing/normalizing disparate data sourcesReliaquest - orchestration and AI SOC capabilities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $66.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
