Job summary

Knight Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr Test & Evaluation Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA to advise on testing, accreditation and operations for cloud, virtual and on‑prem IT environments.

You will design test scenarios, develop documentation, and lead evaluations across lifecycle phases to ensure compliance with DoD and IC requirements. Responsibilities include leading IV&V activities, developing MOE/MOP criteria, and coordinating with PMs and stakeholders to satisfy customer requirements

Qualifications

• Must possess current DoD Baseline Certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g. Security+).
• Meet DAWIA T&E Level 1 requirements for training, education and experience.
• Implement lifecycle solutions per NIST, DoD, Army directives and RMF.
• Evaluate system components and advise on redundancy, costs, portability, compatibility and usability.
• Provide technical expertise for software performance, test plan design and test scenarios (functional, security, negative, vulnerability).
• Prepare and evaluate Acquisition Documentation and lead SEP/TEMP/TES reviews.
• Develop MOE/MOP criteria and plan/test across acquisition phases, cyberspace and computer networks.
• Lead IV&V activities coordinating with PMs for testing adequacy.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand objectives, develop test strategies and analyze data.
• Guide adherence to Army Regulations in rapid-development domains.
• Prepare technical test reports detailing deficiencies identified.
• Follow standard T&E processes: requirements, verification, data collection and reporting.
• Experience performing T&E on complex software and network systems.
• Experience sustaining virtual, cloud, and on-prem environments.
• Experience evaluating current or emerging technologies.
• Experience security test plan design and testing tooling.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and security services.

Responsibilities

• Advise INSCOM and IC on operations, maintenance and accreditation for cloud, virtual, and on-prem IT environments.
• Develop and execute test strategies and plans for cyberspace and network systems.
• Coordinate with PMs to ensure testing adequacy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical test reports and document deficiencies found during testing.

Magazine.****As Knight Federal Solutions continues to grow, we look forward to hiring the best and the brightest to join us in our success!**Position Summary:This role will be focused on Test and Evaluation and will be advising both INSCOM (all of the combatant commands) and the IC on performing operations, maintenance and accreditation efforts on unclassified, classified cloud, virtual environment, and on-premises Information Technology (IT) environments## QualificationsKey Skills (Minimum)· Must possess current DoD Approved Baseline Certification at IAT Level II OR higher (e.g. CompTIA Security +)· Compliance with training, education and experience meeting Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Test and Evaluation Level 1· Implement lifecycle solutions in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Standards, DoD, Army, and ICD 50 3 Directives and the Risk Management Framework· Evaluate system component suitability and make recommendations to the Government to eliminate redundancy and align capabilities within the IC regarding the impact of alternative new technologies on project costs, portability, compatibility, and usability sustainability.· Provide technical expertise for software performance, test plan design and test scenarios for functional testing, security testing, negative testing and vulnerability analysis of cyberspace operations tools and capabilities.· Compose and/or evaluate Acquisition Documentation, lead staff evaluations of engineering documents similar to System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Test and Master Plans (TEMP), and Test and Evaluation Strategies (TES), for approval.· Develop Evaluation criterium commensurate with Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) Measures of Performance (MOP), and the resources required to plan, perform, analyze and report on testing events during all acquisition or development phases, particularly of cyberspace and computer network systems.· Lead the Independent Verification and Validation of Developmental and Operational Testing, coordinate with PMs to ensure testing adequacy and system specification compliance.· Laisse with stakeholders to understand testing objectives, develop test strategies, and collect and analyze data to satisfy customer requirements.· Provide guidance to PMs, staff, Chief Engineers, and Leadership on adherence to Army Regulations and policies while operating in rapid-development domains.· Prepare technical test reports that document deficiencies and issues identified in the conduct of test and evaluation events.· Follow and apply common T&E processes that include identifying requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings.· Experience performing Test and Evaluation services on complex software and network systems.· Experience sustaining virtual, cloud, and on premises environments.· Experience conducting evaluations of current or emerging technologies.· Experience providing technical expertise for software performance test plan design and test scenarios for functional security testing.· Experience using security assessment and analysis tools.· Knowledge and a little experience working with networking protocols.· Experience implementing and using common operating system, antivirus products, network and security services and applications.*Knight Federal Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information or any other protected classification.*
