Job summary

SiTime is seeking an experienced hardware/software test engineer to develop automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for precision timing devices from NPI through high-volume production.

The role involves designing load boards and probe cards, writing ATE software, performing Gage R&R studies, and coordinating with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure smooth product releases. Strong electronics and software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• ATE Experience: 5+ years of test development on mixed-signal ATE platforms (Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, uFlex).
• Software: C++, Python, Java, MATLAB and statistical analysis tools.
• Hardware: analog/mixed-signal design, board debugging, oscilloscope and lab metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize custom test hardware, including load boards, custom test boards, and probe cards.
• Write, debug, and optimize ATE test programs (J750/uFlex, V93K).
• Perform Gage R&R studies and statistical analysis of test data.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing hardware and software automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for SiTime’s precision timing devices from NPI (New Product Introduction) through high-volume production. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize custom test hardware, including load boards, custom test boards, and probe cards.
• Write, debug, and optimize ATE test programs (J750/uFlex, V93K)
• Perform Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies and statistical analysis of test data.
• Transfer NPI test solutions to OSATs / overseas manufacturing partners and support offshore production releases.
• Execute yield enhancement, test time reduction, and cost-reduction projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• ATE Experience: 5+ years of test development experience on mixed-signal ATE platforms such as Advantest V93K (PS1600) and Teradyne (J750, uFlex).
• Software: C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, and statistical analysis tools.
• Hardware: Analog/mixed-signal circuit design, board-level debugging, oscilloscope, and lab metrology tools for timing/frequency parameters.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes

• Direct test development experience on major ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest V93000, Teradyne J750/UltraFLEX) and industry-standard handlers/probers (e.g., TEL, Hon precision, Cohu).
• Highly organized with strong attention to details
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountable.

Compensation Range

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent. The annual base salary range for this role is $99,900.00 – $137,370.00. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
