Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests in a commercial cloud CI/CD pipeline.

You will help streamline testing, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases within the Intel Security Sector's Analysis Solutions Business Area. The role emphasizes automation using Selenium/Katalon, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and DevOps practices, with a TS/SCI polygraph requirement and a strong emphasis on scalable test scripts in a cloud

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
• Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases in an agile cadence.
• Experience using automation frameworks and tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Writing efficient and scalable test scripts.
• Direct experience with software performance testing practices.
• Experience with Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps tools in a SAFe Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives to support testing of custom applications in a commercial cloud environment.
• Assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts to ensure testing aligns with User Story Acceptance Criteria.
• Collaborate to develop test approaches emphasizing automation of recurring/regression tests.

• Leverage DevOps to ensure repeatability and constant improvement of test scripts.
• Document end-to-end functionality through JIRA/Confluence and support performance testing with JMeter.

Job Summary

As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications and services in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipeline within a commercial cloud environment. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, aiming to streamline testing processes, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.
• Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria
• Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets
• Develop automated test cases using knowledge of custom Applications through designated GUI/COTS products (ex: Selenium and Katalon Studio)
• Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved
• Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as Jmeter

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
• Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence
• Experience using automation frameworks and tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio
• Familiarity in writing efficient and scalable test scripts.
• Direct experience with software performance testing practices
• Experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps tools, and working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment
• Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts
• BS degree with 8 or more years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6 or more years of prior relevant experience. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree
• Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Katalon Runtime Engine
• Programming skills in languages such as Java or Python enabling the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and their integration with automated tests.
• Direct experience with AWS environments

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
