Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking a hardware test engineer to support RF, IF, microwave, analog and digital hardware testing on missile programs. This onsite role in Andover, MA involves close collaboration with Operations, Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering.

The successful candidate will interpret test requirements, develop procedures, analyze data for root-cause resolution and contribute to yield improvements while meeting security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) required.
• Minimum 5 years of hardware testing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

What You Will Do

• Support test and troubleshooting of RF, IF, Microwave, Analog and Digital hardware for various effectors (missile) programs.




• Work closely with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering.




• Interpreting test requirements, developing and maintaining test procedures, and documenting test practices




• Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause




• Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process




• Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yield




• Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production




• Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed




• Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware




• Supporting production test on multiple functional test platforms




• Travel as required

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.




• 5+ years of hardware testing experience.




• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Masters in Electrical Engineer




• RF, analog and digital test / troubleshooting skills




• Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques




• Software skills (Labview, MATLAB, C, Linux) a plus




• Active SECRET Clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
