Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Analyst for a 24-month contract position in West Sacramento, California. The role involves testing strategy, test plans, defect management, UAT support, and risk-based testing within CalSTRS systems and SDLC processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating testing activities, maintaining test documentation, and communicating status to stakeholders. The position is on-site with standard full-time hours, supporting public sector projects.

• Perform quality reviews of test cases to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Serve as a Test Coordinator.

• Facilitate meetings as required.
• Document defects and PIRs.
• Assist with Jama test case plan population.
• Monitor defects and participate in daily triage meetings.
• Report testing status to management.
• Communicate release-related information to stakeholders.
• Perform/support regression testing during periodic maintenance releases.
• Resolve system-related issues using analytical and technical skills.
• Identify and clarify requirements using conceptual and logical process/data modeling tools and techniques.
• Discuss proposed solutions with customers in a proactive and consultative manner.

Position Summary

The Senior Test Analyst will work with various CalSTRS business areas and follow the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. The role supports testing strategies and plans, requirements activities, testing documentation, defect management, and maintenance documentation within CalSTRS requirements and testing management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Test Activities

• Assist with Jama test case plan population.

• Perform/support regression testing during periodic maintenance releases.
• Resolve system-related issues using analytical and technical skills.
• Identify and clarify requirements using conceptual and logical process/data modeling tools and techniques.

The Senior Test Analyst will:

• Develop and document testing strategies for various testing phases.
• Assist with development and documentation of test cases.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support User Acceptance Testers.
