This position plays a key role in advancing classroom and event technology through hands‑on project work and system improvements. The role contributes to the planning, implementation, and enhancement of audiovisual (AV) and instructional technology solutions that support the university’s teaching and learning mission. Key responsibilities include leading or supporting technology upgrade projects, coordinating equipment installations, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to modernize learning spaces. The role involves managing project timelines and documentation, evaluating emerging technologies, and contributing to design and testing processes for new AV systems. In addition to project‑based initiatives, the role ensures smooth daily operations by maintaining classroom technology standards, tracking IT assets, and assisting with faculty training and user adoption. They work closely with faculty, IT teams, and vendors to ensure technology projects meet instructional needs, improve user experience, and align with institutional goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Digital Media, Computer Science, Education, or related field with at least of five years comparable work experience.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
None required, although any type of certification demonstrating expertise in project management, computers, multimedia, or control systems (specifically Crestron and QSYS ) is a plus.
