GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex Junction, Vermont seeks a Chemistry Laboratory Technician (Complex Analysis Technician) to perform a variety of wet chemical analyses and instrumental measurements. You will prepare analytical standards and samples, operate UV/Vis, ICP-OES, HPLC, GC-MS, GC-FID instruments, and maintain safety and waste disposal protocols.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in a related field with at least two years of lab experience, and strong English communication.

The position will require proficiency in various chemistry analysis lab techniques. This position is for a 5x2 shift.Essential Responsibilities:As a chemical laboratory technician (Complex Analysis Technician) you will be responsible for completing a large variety of wet chemical analyses, preparation of analytical standard solutions and sample solutions, independently running instruments, basic maintenance of a diverse set of instruments, chemical and consumable ordering and chemical waste disposal.Previous experience with general laboratory work and the proper handling of hazardous substancesExperience performing some inorganic analyses such as titrationsExperience with some common analytical instruments such as UV/Vis, ICP-OES, ion chromatography, HPLC, GC-MS, GC-FIDSteady hands and dedication to precise measurementsExperience performing general instrument maintenanceA good communicatorWillingness to learn and willingness to workProficient in Microsoft SuiteAbility to work independently while still embracing a teamwork mentalityOther Responsibilities:Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.Required Qualifications:Education - Associate's degree in related fieldExpeience- Minimim two years requiredFluent in English Language – written & verbalPhysical Capacity Demands – Able to follow work and safety procedures for a laboratory environmentAbility to work with hazardous chemicals in a safe manner and follow analytical proceduresUnderstand basic math and ability to perform simple calculationsApplicant must be a U.S. CitizenMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET level U.S. Government security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Bachelors in Chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent military training/experience.Prior experience in working in a laboratory environmentExpected Salary Range$48,200.00 - $83,200.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.The role you are applying for may require you to obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some time during your employment.
