Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking a Sr. Lab Technician with a 2-year associate's degree and up to 5 years in a characterization lab. You will operate high-end lab tools, take DC/CV, S-parameters and Flicker Noise measurements, and work with our test executive software at our 300mm facility on-site, Monday–Friday daytime.

This role emphasizes calibration, documentation, teamwork with cross-functional groups, safety compliance, and ongoing skill development in semiconductor testing.

Qualifications

• Education - 2-Year Technical/associate's degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline
• Experience - minimum 0-5 years' experience in a Fabricator setting and/or working with electronics
• Capacity to understand new concepts and apply them during the measurements
• Possesses strong organizational skills to assist with logistics in the lab
• Excellent and effective communication skills
• Language Fluency – English (both Written & Verbal)

Responsibilities

• Operate high end tools in the Lab and take measurements at device level for specific test conditions as provided by the technology team or the modeling team
• Collaborate with your team to help with specific workloads such as logging the wafers in the lab in our lab software tools
• Assist with tool calibration and maintenance
• Continue learning new skill sets within the lab environment to help with new and exciting testing capabilities; develop more efficient processes
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for problem solving & debugging
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Responsibilities include running the lab tools, taking measurements for DC/CV, S-parameters and Flicker Noise in the lab. The technician will be expected to work with the in-house software used as the test executive in the lab. This role is fully on-site at our 300mm semiconductor manufacturing facility, in Malta NY. The schedule will be a Monday - Friday daytime schedule.

Expected Salary Range

$48,200.00 - $83,200.00
