Corning Inc. in Corning, NY, is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to set up and configure molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment according to experimental plans. You will operate equipment during production runs, monitor performance, and document results to ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in injection molding, hands-on machine experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks and MS Office. Join us to help advance industry-leading plastics technology.

Formación

• High school diploma.
• 2–5 years of experience in injection molding or a similar manufacturing role.
• Hands-on experience operating an injection molding machine.
• Ability to observe and adjust processes and experiments as they progress.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, plastics technology, or a related field preferred.
• Injection molding machine setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Injection molding mold assembly experience.
• Experience in injection molded optics.
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD drafting.
• Technical report writing.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Role Purpose

• Set up and configure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and molds according to experimental plans.
• Operate and monitor machines during experimental and production runs to ensure optimal performance.

Experiences/Education - Required

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in injection molding or a similar manufacturing role.
• Must have hands‑on experience in operating injection molding machine.
• Ability to observe and adjust processes and experiments as they progress
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Associate degree in manufacturing, plastics technology, or a related field preferred.

The range for this position is $71,387.00-$98,158.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
