Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer in Tokyo to provide hands-on technical support for the Databricks Platform, guiding customers through architectural scenarios and complex issues spanning the entire Big Data ecosystem.

You will troubleshoot, deliver best-practice guidance, assist with third-party integrations, contribute to documentation, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with engineering to drive value for customers while expanding your AWS/Azure/GCP

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining Python/Java/Scala based applications.
• Expert level knowledge in Python.
• Strong experience with SQL-based databases.
• Linux/Unix administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Distributed Big Data Computing environments.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese (written and spoken).

As a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical support for Databricks Platform related issues and resolve any challenges involving the Databricks unified analytics platform. You will assist customers in their Databricks journey and provide them with the guidance and knowledge that they need to accomplish value and achieve their strategic goals using our products. They will look to you for answers to everything from basic technical questions to complex architectural scenarios spanning across the entire Big Data ecosystem. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Solutions.

What We Look For
