Sr. Technical Consultant – SAP PP
Remote with Occasional Travel to Anaheim, CA
12+Month Contract

Client is seeking an experienced SAP PP Consultant with deep expertise in SAP ECC 6.0, strong functional knowledge in Production Planning and Materials Management, and hands-on experience with end-to-end solution design, implementation, and support. Experience in the auto industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver SAP functional solutions; ensure design integrity through implementation.
• Work directly with business users to resolve daily support issues and define SAP solutions aligned to business needs.
• Capture functional requirements, configuration rationale, and validate development estimates.
• Lead solution design and oversee development, ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Define and execute test plans including SIT and integration testing; validate solution outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering business processes, configuration, and functional specs.
• Support data migration and RICEFW components for carve-out scenarios.
• Ensure effective integration between SAP PP and MES.
• Apply best practices in SAP development estimation and solution delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders; provide creative problem-solving and communication.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP functional solution design and delivery.
• Expertise in SAP ECC – Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) modules.
• Strong understanding of PP areas: master data, demand management, MRP, production execution, engineering change management, and contract manufacturing.
• Experience with MES integration and SAP MM procurement and inventory processes.
• Multiple full lifecycle implementations in SAP ECC 6.0.
• Experience in SAP development estimation and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong knowledge of RICEFW, third-party integrations, and carve-out data migration.
• Familiarity with testing strategies including SIT and integration testing.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• SAP certification is a plus.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
