Responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager III, you'll drive mission‑critical programs that improve the quality and velocity of Amazon's global recruitment engine while delivering exceptional candidate experiences. You'll translate complex business requirements into innovative technical solutions, lead end‑to‑end program planning, and manage risks proactively to keep initiatives on track. This isn't just program management—it's about creating visible impact on systems that define how Amazon will operate for years to come.

  • Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for complex technical initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive roadmaps that drive hiring technology innovation.
  • Drive technical innovation by translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, working directly with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery.
  • Manage program lifecycle and mitigate risks proactively by identifying potential roadblocks before they become issues and developing mitigation strategies that keep programs on track.
  • Champion clear communication and stakeholder alignment by creating compelling status reports, facilitating decision‑making meetings, and building consensus across teams when different views emerge.
  • Define and validate project requirements and scope while overseeing gaps between teams, processes, and system architectures to ensure program alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
