Job description

Description

In Annapurna Labs we are at the forefront of hardware/software accelerator solutions for not only Amazon Web Services (AWS), but across the industry. The Annapurna AI Systems team owns design, validation, deployment, manufacturing, quality, reliability and fleet operations end to end.

Turning the silicon and systems into serving capacity is a manufacturing problem at a scale and pace the industry has not run before: cards, boards, sleds and servers built into racks across a global manufacturing footprint, then shipped to globally diverse datacenters and converted into capacity customers can launch on.

The Trainium Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability team owns that path end to end, and we looking for candidates interested in diving deep into our manufacturing, scaling and quality processes to support current and future generations of accelerator silicon/systems.

You will be responsible for managing server and rack manufacturing programs across our North America footprint — build plan attainment, rolled-through yield, test cycle time, work-in-process health and on-time shipment to datacenter — at ODM and CM sites.

We are seeking an experienced TPM who is equally comfortable on a factory floor and in a data set. You will reconcile what a partner reports, what the test data says, and what the design actually permits — and then drive the plan that closes the gap. Come join us!

Key job responsibilities

  • You will own manufacturing programs end to end across our ODM and CM partners: build rate against plan, rolled-through yield, first-pass test cycle time, aged work-in-process, and on-time shipment to datacenter.

  • You will establish the operating cadence with each partner — weekly build and recovery reviews, clear commitments, and an escalation path into vendor leadership that you are trusted to use.

  • You will own material readiness, operational support and constraint resolution — critical component supply, mechanical and enclosure quality, and staging capacity at each site. The job is to identify the constraint before it caps the build rate, and to drive the cross-functional plan that clears it.

  • You will drive manufacturing readiness for new rack platforms, defining entry and exit criteria for each build phase and gating ramp decisions on demonstrated yield and cycle time rather than on schedule pressure.

  • You will coordinate across Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Test, Quality and Reliability, Supply Chain, Global Supplier Management, Logistics and EC2. Manufacturing sits between design intent and deployed capacity.

  • You will build the reporting layer — define the metrics that describe manufacturing health, automate them where you can, and give senior leadership a clear weekly position on what shipped, what is at risk, what you need and by when.

You will work independently in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization. We’re changing an industry, and we need individuals who are ready for this challenge and who want to reach beyond what is possible today.

A day in the life

Your day to day responsibilities will include interfacing with our engineering teams, vendors and customers to understand project requirements and facilitate manufacturing output and scaling . You will work directly with vendors and ODM/JDM/CM teams to develop and manufacture your product at scale.

You will review build, yield and ship numbers from each site against plan and determine key bottlenecks and engage the right teams to overcome them. You will lead output and recovery reviews with ODM/CM leadership, pushing back on a commitment you do not believe the line can hold and landing on a number you can both defend. You will coordinate with vendor and Amazon supply chain teams to align materials with your build plans. You will write daily/weekly reports as necessary to inform leadership on the current state and key challenges.

About the team

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge-sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects that help our team members develop your engineering expertise so you feel empowered to take on more complex tasks in the future. We care about growing the people on this team — the work is genuinely hard, the feedback is direct and kind, and nobody here is short of problems worth solving.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience working with cross-geographic vendors in the ODM/CM model

  • Experience owning manufacturing or operations metrics — yield, cycle time, throughput or work-in-process — and driving measurable improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
