Job summary

Dexcom in San Diego, CA is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate co-development projects with insulin-device partners and integrate digital health ecosystems using Dexcom CGM technology. A strong technical background in product development and regulatory environments is preferred.

You will manage cross-functional teams, craft hardware/firmware specifications, APIs, and SDKs, and deliver executive summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required; Master’s or PhD considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical device or related regulated industry preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and ISO standards and design control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and integration projects with Dexcom’s insulin device and digital health partners.
  • Develop and deliver hardware/firmware specifications, APIs, and SDKs.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations.
  • Provide executive program summaries and risk management plans.
  • Drive project progress as a leader and contributor.

The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.Meet the team:You will lead collaboration projects with Dexcom’s partners in the co-development of insulin delivery systems and integration of digital health ecosystems that utilize Dexcom’s Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) hardware and software technologies. Excellent communication skills are required to manage and facilitate collaborations with all internal core team functional groups and external partner stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead the project integration deliverables including the development and delivery of hardware/firmware specifications and architectures, cloud application interfaces (APIs), and software development kits (SDKs).This role requires a strong technical background and experience in product development, ideally in a regulated environment such as medical device development.Where you come in:You will lead Program Management activities associated with co-developing products with Dexcom’s insulin device and digital health partners, including developing a project charter, development plan, schedule, risk management plan, DHF documentation and change control requestsYou will drive progress as a leader/influencer and individual contributor to the programYou will lead internal and external cross-functional teams in activities that support partner technical integration such as developing technical specifications, user experience guidance, conducting Design Reviews and Phase Exit meetingsYou will coordinate activities/tasks and resources across all departments including Engineering, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and OperationsYou will provide regular executive summaries and comprehensive program summaries that highlight program progressYou will be flexible and able to adapt while collaborating with internal and external individuals at all levels and backgroundsYou will professionally represent Dexcom while working directly with partnersWhat makes you successful:You have 5+ years of relevant work experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry highly preferred. Relevant work experience in the following technical industries may be considered: aerospace, telecom, consumer electronics, application software and hardware developmentYou have knowledge of the product development process and phase gate Design Control process is required. Working knowledge of GMP’s and ISO standardsYou have demonstrated successful management of technical product development projects is requiredYou have extremely strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel is requiredYou have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical and business information clearly and effectively through informal and formal documents, reports, and presentations to senior managementYou have experience creating and conveying engineering requirements and specifications, especially software requirements and interface specificationsWhat you’ll get:A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
